With extensive experience in scaling operations and leading cross-functional teams, he brings a collaborative, results-driven leadership style that fosters innovation, accountability, and long-term value creation. Liban is a seasoned executive and visionary leader with over 20 years of experience driving growth and operational excellence across African markets, holding senior roles such as Cluster Director, General Manager, and key marketing positions in multinational corporations. Renowned for aligning strategy with execution, he has led high-performing teams to deliver transformative outcomes in fast-paced sectors. As CEO of Claysom Trading & Distribution Company, he defines the company’s vision, expands its regional footprint, and strengthens governance, positioning Claysom as a rising force in FMCG distribution across East Africa and the Gulf. A Somali-Australian with an MBA from USIU, he combines global perspective with deep regional expertise.
Omar is a finance and strategy professional with over 10 years of experience across East Africa, including Kenya, Somalia, Ethiopia, and South Sudan. He has advised leading institutions such as SIDA, SDC, AFD, and the World Bank on development finance and private sector growth. He has a strong background in investment and financial systems design, Omar brings strategic insight and governance expertise to the Claysom Board, supporting the company’s financial planning and regional expansion.

Dr. Hersi is a distinguished leader with over 25 years of cross-sector experience in government, development, and private enterprise. Renowned for his strategic acumen and operational excellence, he has led multi-million-dollar programs, guided institutional transformations, and managed diverse teams through complex, high-impact initiatives. He has played a pivotal role in regional and international engagements, forging partnerships and aligning stakeholders to deliver measurable outcomes. Ismail is a Somali-American business executive with over 10 years of experience in enterprise risk management, strategic operations, and continuity planning across high-value public infrastructure sectors. He currently leads federally funded programs and oversees risk across aviation, marine, and commercial assets in the United States. With deep expertise in compliance, crisis response, and operational resilience, he brings a global perspective to the Claysom Board. He has represented Somalia at international forums and was a keynote speaker on port development at the 2023 Arab-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce Summit in Athens, Greece.

Ahmed is a visionary technology executive and global innovation leader with over 25 years of experience across computing, electronics, and communications, having held senior roles at Intel, IBM, and Motorola. Most recently as Global Engineering Senior Director at Intel, he led 200+ engineers across three continents and spearheaded transformative initiatives such as the AI PC and Intel® Evo™ platform, advancing thinner, quieter, and more energy-efficient laptops. Recognized for aligning technical innovation with strategic vision, he has built high-performing, cross-cultural teams across Asia, Europe, and North America. Holding both BSc and MSc degrees in Electrical Engineering from The University of Arizona, and credited with multiple patents and publications, he brings deep expertise in global leadership, user-centered innovation, and strategic foresight to the Claysom Board, where he guides digital transformation, operational scalability, and long-term innovation strategy.

Yonnis is a seasoned Somali-Australian entrepreneur, diplomat, and strategic advisor with over 20 years of global experience in diplomacy, public-private partnerships, and international development. His distinguished career has spanned senior roles in foreign service, consultancy, and institutional advisory across multiple continents. He has served as Ambassador of Somalia to the Kingdom of Belgium and the European Union and as Honorary Consul-General to Australia and New Zealand. These roles have positioned him at the forefront of high-level diplomacy, which he has fostered.
NIGERIA DIRECTOR
Ismaila Abubakar is a seasoned sales, marketing, and distribution professional with over 23 years of experience in multinational and FMCG companies, including more than 15 years in strategic leadership roles. He has a proven track record of driving business growth, developing high-performing teams, and executing successful market expansion strategies across West Africa.
With deep cultural and commercial understanding of West African markets, Ismaila has held key leadership positions including Country Manager, Ghana, Cluster Manager, West Africa West, and Marketing Execution Director for West Africa. His leadership style is people-driven, results-oriented, and rooted in motivation, collaboration, and strategic vision.
Ismaila holds a Master of Science (MSc) in International Business from Salford University, Manchester, UK, and brings a unique combination of global business insight and local market expertise to every role he undertakes.
